From Engineer to Boatbuilder

Trained as an Agro-industrial Engineer, Alvaro Gomez, spent years channeling a lifelong instinct for building & problem-solving — until the world of boats pulled him in & never let go.

What started as a career shift became a complete transformation. With the support of his family, Alvaro worked his way through every layer of the craft: mold making, precision manufacturing, assembly, training fellow builders, & eventually overseeing full production. By the time he reached that last stage, he knew it was time to build something of his own.

He founded Tuna Boat Marine on a simple but uncompromising conviction — that every boat deserves to be treated as someone's greatest treasure. That philosophy shapes everything we do, from the first cut to the final detail. We customize, restore, & deliver each vessel with the same care we'd give our own.
